札幌のCAI02ギャラリーでの展覧会「Naked」では、パトリチア・ウィチとヨハネス・マリア・エバースの作品を展示します。
私的空間と公的空間に存在する異なるルールに対する架け橋を描いています。それは目に見えるものと隠されているものとの間の架け橋であり、したがって、裸という対象をどのように扱うかという文化的方法や、裸であることが持っている元々の性質を反映しています。
ヨハネス・エバースの裸性（裸のあり様）は社会的であり、なおかつ見る人が俳優を見る際の文脈の語りでさえあります。ビデオ作品の中で、私たちの生涯の多くを占める表面、つまり衣服は、ストーリーの核心に到達するために、脱がされています。
パトリチア・ウィチの作品は、その背後にある構造を問いかけています。表面を取り除く過程を逆転させる様な問いかけです。この観点から見るならば、内側の核心に対して外側の形式を注視することは、また逆も然りなのです。彼女の作品は、それが何であるか、あるいは私たちが見ているものとは何であるかという問いを中心に制作されていて、私たちが構築している現実の持つ構造を隠したり晒したりするものは何かということへの問いなのです。
ウィチの作品は、腐食のサイクル、つまり空気や肌、骨髄と、回復（リターン）との間に残存するもの−ある種の新しい創造−を反映しています。
